- Passport (can be expired)
- Birth/adoption certificate (long form version which displays at least one of your parent's names) & proof of your National Insurance Number (i.e. National Insurance card, benefits letter from the DWP, official HMRC letter or payslip)
- Certificate of Naturalisation & proof of your National Insurance Number (i.e. National Insurance card, benefits letter from the DWP, official HMRC letter or payslip)

- Passport or passport card (can be expired)
- National Identity card (can be expired). *Croatian Nationals are also required to provide proof of their Registration Certificate

- Passport or passport card plus the visa inside your current passport (cannot be expired)
- Biometric Residence Permit - both sides (cannot be expired)
- Immigration Status Document (all 4 corners of the page are required) plus proof of your National Insurance Number (i.e. National Insurance card, benefits letter from the DWP, official HMRC letter or payslip)
- Letter entitled 'Certificate of Application' from the Home Office - issued within the past 6 months
- Application Registration Card - both sides (cannot be expired)
- Additional supporting documents:
- Students visas: University timetable with both their term and vacation dates
- Tier 2/Tier 5 Visas: Certificate of Sponsorship
