All reports have an overall result, which is either:
- clear - the user can be considered verified
- consider - the user cannot be considered verified because there are not enough matches found to meet our standard criteria of confirmation for that jurisdiction. Depending on the matches found and your risk appetite you might decide to trigger another check (e.g. an Identity Document check) or ignore it, and treat the user as verified.
- unidentified (outside of the UK only) - the user cannot be considered verified because there no matches are found.
The standard criteria of confirmation and breakdowns vary slightly based on the applicant address country.
Standard Criteria of Confirmation

- the applicant is not found in mortality lists AND
- at least one match on the applicant’s name and current address, and a match on the applicant’s name and date of birth (either in the same or different source) OR
- 2 matches on the applicant’s name and current address from 2 different sources
non-UK applicant address:
- at least one source matches the applicant’s name and current address
US applicant address (only when the SSN or the last 4 digits of the SSN are provided):
- at least one source matches the applicant’s name and address, and the last 4 digits of the SSN are matched
