This page groups data by unique Onfido Applicant ID. It replaces the check page. All associated check data and information is listed for each Applicant. If multiple checks have been completed by the same applicant these will appear in the left side bar in order (most recent first) with the status, and result for each. Clicking one of these checks will show you the check info in the main content area. All the same information from the traditional Check page is available on this page.
Why is the Applicant Page useful?
The Applicant Page allows you to see the full history of checks for a given Applicant, providing you with a more conclusive overview of the end user you are trying to validate. This is particularly useful if you request users to retry Onfido’s verification process. This page is also key to understanding and reviewing the outcomes of Onfido’s repeat verification products such as Face Authenticate.
Do I need to change my integration to use the Applicant Page?
All Onfido checks are linked to an end user through the Onfido Applicant ID which is returned when an Applicant is first created using the create applicant endpoint. This ID is then included when creating a check in the create check endpoint.
You must ensure your integration is set up to reuse the same Applicant ID for all checks requested for a single end user. You must not create a new applicant each time you request a check. If you create a new Applicant, a new ID will be returned and the check will not be associated with the same end user and will not appear alongside other checks in the Applicant Review Page.
If all your applicants have no more than 1 check, it may be that you need to review your integration with your engineers.
Where is the button I'm looking for?
All functionality from the check page continues to work on the applicant page, but some functions have been moved.
The main navigation for Reports, Documents, Videos, Issue Conversation, etc can be found across the top of the right hand pane.
The tags for a check are near the bottom of the page in the right hand pane.
The actions to Withdraw a check, View the applicant form, or Download a PDF of the check are now at the bottom of the page in the right hand pane.
The Delete applicant data button is available from the applicant info page. Click on the applicant's name or email in the top left of the screen to view this page, and it'll be visible in the right hand pane.
